I watched this in my current events class yesterday. It's very moving. Everyone in my class is donating to the Tri foundation to help out in any little way we can.

Just finished watching it and wow... I had NO idea this was going on until now.

April 20th will be a very exciting day. I'll email this to everyone I know.

not to be the devils assistent, i just hope there's not some group of people getting rich as hell and not actually helping the kids getting attacked by Kony. 95% of me believes all this but there's a small 5% of me that says to follow carefully.

Invisible Children has been criticized for spending only a third of its revenues on advocacy programs, and not enough of the money goes to actually helping people on the ground.

The problem that i have with this whole thing is that almost everyone that sees this video believes every word of it without doing any research. Here are just a few facts that people should see before they get so worked up about this.

1) Joseph Kony is NOT in Uganda and hasn't been for 6 years; 2) the LRA now numbers at most in the HUNDREDS, and while it is still causing immense suffering, it is unclear how millions of well-meaning but misinformed people are going to help deal with the more complicated reality.

Following a successful campaign by the Ugandan military and failed peace talks in 2006, the LRA was pushed out of Uganda and has been operating in extremely remote areas of the DRC, South Sudan, and the Central African Republic

Additionally, the LRA does not have 30,000 mindless child soldiers. This grim figure, cited by Invisible Children in the film refers to the total number of kids abducted by the LRA over nearly 30 years. Eerily, it is also the same number estimated for the total killed in the more than 20 years of conflict in Northern Uganda.

Im not trying to say that this isnt an issue but there are a lot bigger problems to deal with right now. With all of the things going on in the middle east right now Africa, im sorry to say, really isnt high on the priorities list

Although this ordeal in Africa is very scary we have other things to face. Like military powers in the middle east who own nuclear warheads who could simply target us. Last i heard Kony doesn't have any nuclear weapons.

It sad to see how Kony has actually gotten by through 30 some years of this. so i feel not much is going to change from now till he dies of old age. Yea i'll support the cause and everything but this isn't exactly our problem. i can guarantee other countries aren't going to aid the situation in Africa either.

And this whole thing became famous now because he's the next power house dictator on the list. first Osama Bin Laden was killed, the Kim Jong Ill died, now Kony is next.

Don't really get what you're saying poke.

But yeah, I watched this and i agree Kony needs to be stopped but there are other more important situations we are trying to cover at the moment.

Mainly everyones failing economies.
