Clan meetings

First topic message reminder :

I really think we should try and get on chat together as a clan every week or every two weeks

It's hard to get to know people through forums only if they aren't on your system and also maybe we can get some ideas set in motion better

Plus I miss having chat nights when there would be ten of us on

I feel we need to give the chat box some love once in a while

i like the idea and im down

This is a sweet idea i think it would be nice to know who is in the clan because i keep getting random friend requests!!

idk, weeknights are really busy for me

good idea. i hope we get most of the clan involved! although weekends are really hard. even myself can't commit all the time

If we have a clan meeting, I almost always will be there no matter what time it is, unless I'm on vacation or at school.

Weekends can be hard. Maybe monday might be better. You also don't have to stay for the whole time. We did this a month ago just in the chat and for three hours we had people coming and going the whole time.

I agree with Morman. I also think that a Co-leader+ rank member should set it up and we should schedule it in the future. The Co-leader+ member will cause intimidation (IMO) for people to actually take time to get on the site and see what's going on.

Well last night we had Johnny bdeezey crashcat cdoug and myself on and it was fine with me. I think Friday Saturday and Sunday are the only realistic days. Perhaps Morman could create a poll.

Yeah, it was kinda awkward being the highest rank in the meeting, but it was fun, these guys are cool, i recommend everyone try to be there, it was funny

Make a thread, set a date, and see if people will be able to make it. Simple.

When i first read these i was like, You're intimidated by a higher ranked member? and Why is it awkward being the highest ranked member present?

But then i tried to put myself in your shoes and remembered how i was the same way. When i first joined i was intimidated by higher ranked members. And when i was promoted to specialist (its basically div leader) i was even more intimidated because i now had a job or responsibility in the clan and was held to a higher standard. It also was weird at first being the highest ranked member present in chat or ingame. But as i got to know the leaders of the clan and how they run it i stopped being so intimidated and felt right at home whether i was the highest or lowest ranked member present.

I just want you all to understand that while you should give them the respect they deserve, the leaders are nice guys and that you shouldn't be intimidated by them. Just like you try to impress and get the approval of leaders, we try and do the same to you guys. None of us want to be known as the big bad leader that members are afraid of.

You either took that the wrong way or I said it wrong. I'm not at all intimidated by the leaders etc. What I meant was people would be more intimidated to be at the clan meeting if there was a clan leader or something running it. They would be more intimidated to be there because most people look forward to promotions, and activity is a key part of promotions.

Bro it says more about people when they come to stuff not to try and get promotions and just to come and have fun

He'll look at me I was a higher rank once and now I realized it got to my head the last thing I want to do is get promoted et I'm trying everything I can to get members to be more active and go to stuff. Real members will come to chat on their own for meeting. Fake members will go there to get promotions and to look good

I agree with Trent. set up a date. let's see who can come. I also agree with the idea that ranked members should be there too to encourage everyone in participating

Yep just set a date. If you like you can P.M or text (cell) a leader to get us to make the post if you'd like. I know you can just text me, I'll make the post that same day and we'll get it done. I love meetings. They're funnerific.
