Serious Concern
Ok i have been going to town with posting and every time. i get on site no one is ever on except for a select few. I remember in the beginning of infamous everyone was active on the web site and now no one is ever on. And this may be where lies the issues on holding members. When people recruit others and the other people hear that there is a clan web site the first thing they think is wow Infamous Society is a legit clan they have their own web site and when they come to register and fill out a application they are able to see how active the web site is. When they see how old the most recent post is they will be like Ya they have a web site but Infamous Society clan is nothing to serious because they ask for people to be active on the website in the application to join but only like 5 people ever get on. And that's when people walk away. So If we can think of something to get the members more active on site with posting and commenting on post it will give us a more positive outcome. If anyone has any ideas for this issue please post your ideas here it will help us alot.
Sincerely,
iS MIKE HAWK

Re: Serious Concern
In my honest opinion, I don't think there really is anything we can do. We've been joking for a while now about how our motto is "Life Comes First", but it truly is. People cannot be active all the time, and if worse comes to worse, then they can't be a part of the clan.
But for those of us who are able to get on site, then they should do that. Try to post on some threads once in a while, and just be involved with the group whether it be in-game, on the site, on skype, etc.

Re: Serious Concern
I know people have a life but there are members that have not been here for a month to two months to come to the web site and make 1 post a day which only takes not even 1 minute of their lifes then there is a issue special when people play the game for hours on end.

Re: Serious Concern
2 things I think we need to do is starting getting a wave of new recruits in here and secondly starting kicking inactives not to be mean but just to clean up the site and cutting people is just what all clans need to do

Re: Serious Concern
This is not really a issue I don't think. Infamous Society has nothing but loyal members. Some can not get on site or game because of Financial issues, broken (games, consoles, and etc.) Pretty much every time I am not active it is because of financial issues. What I am saying is that, there is certain reasons why some people are not active, and it is not fair for us to kick them out of the clan for things they can not prevent. Plus everyone will come back on around the time school ends for the summer.
Re: Serious Concern
Kicking people is a fair process. We're not getting mad at them or anything but they signed up to the clan and be active.
We could simply start with inactive people and drop their ranks periodically until they are either active or kicked. They will be welcome back but they have to earn their ranks back.
Another point is Infamous Society main members are leaders, whether they be division leaders or co leaders. The clan should mainly consist of just basic members(in this clan, the green coloured members). Just looking at the top posters this month there is only one plain member there and the rest are for the most part leaders. We have little active low ranked members.
We need to recruit more members and find ways to promote activity, ie. penalizing inactivity

Re: Serious Concern
The leaders are top posters for a reason, you have to be active to move up in the ranks. Like you said look at the top posters. Members and Elite members need to be more active, or like you said they will be demoted blah blah blah. But right now life is most important. Also as a clan our recruiting efforts are sad. And that is the only word to describe it. WE need to step it up.

Re: Serious Concern
I get why the leaders are in the top posters but we have little to no "members" to even be posting if you know what I mean. We have like 3 green members that I've seen
And I get that life comes first but as Mike said it can only take a minute or two to come on the site and make a post or two. Being active in the site and being active in game are different. If you can't be active on the site isn't that hard even with life, I'm sure people would be going in the computer at some point anyway

Re: Serious Concern
I have a few things to say....
1st, life first has always been the most important and emphasized from the beginning. Even back in 2010 when I first joined Infamous Society, life always came first. Life isn't any more important now than it was back then. 'Life' is not the reason the clan isn't doing as well as you want.
2nd, kicking members won't do anything. What it will do, however, is make the clan that much smaller. You say that people don't come on site that much anymore, so who the hell is going to notice is people are getting kicked? Your focus should be on recruiting, which brings me to my next point.
3rd, focus on recruiting. Nobody wants to do it, but how else will you get members? You claim that iS members are loyal, but how are you loyal if you're not helping the clan grow and survive? Don't try to recruit the 'perfect' member. Trent and some of the older guys can tell you that nearly every member you see in the Hall of Fame was recruited. Each of us got recruited, filled out an application, had a tryout, people voted on that tryout, and we got in the clan. Moral of the story is that you never know how the person you recruit will turn out. You just have to be willing to take a chance. Each member of the Hall of Fame could've been rejected, but the leaders at the time had faith and determination, and it paid off.
It's time for people to step up.

Re: Serious Concern
That's only the post activity for this month. Their were a lot more green posters in the top 10 these last few months which was normally lead by wax towards the end of summer and myself towards the end of it. I agree though the deranking until they're active again and then a kick. Nothing personal against anyone but is this clan for friends or for people that want to find other people who game just as hard as they do?[iS] kFiB wrote:Kicking people is a fair process. Re: Serious Concern
Ok i think people are going in the wrong direction with this . POke is right with everything in the past i was here like a week before him. What i am talking about is maybe giving out point to the most active person thats posting and to one who is the most active on recruiting members .
I have in the pasted purchased points for xbox and ps 3 players multiple season passes , name changes. the total amount i had spent in less than a years time was slightly over 2500 dollars and iS Infamousjoke can verify it. I am no ordinary member i was here before and i am and was a very active member so what ever i do does not count.
we dont need to kick out people at all. But maybe we should have a incentive give me your input

Re: Serious Concern
I couldn't agree more with this. Coming at it from a penalty point of view is entirely the wrong approach. Reward the active members. Recruit new members. That's what happens every time this clan thrives. And I'm no saint either. I've been slacking on my recruiting. But with a new game comes new opportunity. It's time to step up and do some work to MAKE this clan better. Not WAIT for it to get better.[iS] PoKe wrote:I have a few things to say....

carrot > stick
We need more positive ideas. Finding more ways to kick people who are not even here anymore is just a waste of time and very self destructive.
