My absence and state of emergency!

Hey guys due to various circumstances I'm here making this post on my iPhone. I'm at my grandparents house at the moment and their wifi isn't working so im unable to make this on my laptop.

I left my home city yesterday because I wasn't sure of I'd make it out today, you may ask why well it's because most major highways out of the city are closed. The flooding of my city is pretty bad, they don't expect downtown to be up and running untill mid next week at the earliest. And this is a pretty big deal because Calgary has a lot of major oil companies centralized and operating here so lots of money is to be lost. If you guys have ever seen the movie "the day after tomorrow" it actually reminds me of that. Over 100,000 people have been evacuated from their homes and that doesn't include businesses. Some parts of the city are seeing 14ft deep water AND THATS ON THE STREET! There are many communities that are totally submerged and houses are right fucked. For example one community every house basement is flooded and the water has exceeded over 2 feet on the main levels. The scotia bank Sattledome (where our NHL team and concerts are played) is destroyed all equipment and everything, water is up to the 14th row. In 2005 we also had a flood that caused $400 million in setbacks and this is said to be way worse. There are pictures all over the Internet if you're interested in seeing including Ariel videos etc. But we're nowhere near the worst. There's a smaller town south of us called high river (lol get the reference) and the only way in and out of there is boat or seadoo. Over 400 army vehicles were called upon to get people and help there too.

But this is also a bit of an inactivity post as well. Since I am now with my grandpa we are heading for work tomorrow and I will not have Internet for the next week at least. I will have my iPhone and will try to check in at least once a day to see what's happening although that I can't even promise. I will be working 12 hour days and I will also need to workout after I'm done working so time will be limited.

I'm all good, I'm not directly affected by the flooding myself but I do have some friends that were not as lucky as me. Ill post some pics whenever I have Internet access on my laptop.
